I didn't like the group set up on DA and felt the process was flawed. I also felt that some of the 'rules' were restrictive and out of touch. For example, an erect penis photographed correctly can be extremely artistic and yet is banned. It's not that I wanted to post my erect penis, lol, but the odd stance the site took on some things not others. It felt repressive.

Some of the items posted on DA I thought were offensive but freedom of speech and artistic license allowed for it, which is fine, but there seemed to be one rule for some things and not for others. Violence, for example, bothers me. Sexuality does not. The notion that sexuality (when covered artistically) was banned and subjects that to me are unpleasant are not seemed perversely hypocritical and out of whack.

I really liked you though, You come across as a sensitive, thoughtful, decent person and your work was always enjoyable to see. Without wanting to sound overly dramatic I have occasionally thought of you and worried about you with all the unrest that is occurring in the world, much of which I feel will escalate where you are. So please take care.

We are still enjoying the photography together and post elsewhere instead. I hope you are well xx
